Reader's Guide
In this week’s readings, we’ll see the first few rounds of the conflict between God and Pharaoh. It will begin with Pharaoh’s increase in oppression of the people and end with the first of the ten terrible plagues.
This week’s most important reading will be Tuesday’s, in which Moses and God will have another back-and-forth about who God is and whether his plan and purposes through Moses will really work out well.
Listen carefully in Tuesday’s readings to how God speaks: about his promises, his purposes, and his power over Egypt.
It’s a powerful statement of the idea: “You shall be my people.”
